I finished the felted slippers for my boyfriend. This was a quick and easy knit and an exciting time in front of the washing machine. Like 99.9999% of all germans I own a front loading washer. Fortunately I can stop the washing process and open it because the water level doesn’t rise to high.
These are the unfelted slippers worn by my boyfriend.
And this is what came out of the washer 30 minutes later.
I let them felt until the fit was ok. The elastic you can see at the heel was removed after 3 days of blocking/drying.
Details:
Pattern: Slippers from Felted Knits by Beverly Galeskas
Yarn: Cascade 220, 2 skeins charcole grey and 1 skein black
Needles: Addi Turbo 9mm
Modification: The sizes of the slippers in the book weren’t big enough to fit my boyfriend so I did a little math and constructed my own pattern which wasn’t hard and I added one more short row to close the “hole” a bit more.
I’m really glad they came out so well and he seems to really like them, he wears them although it’s warm outside.
While waiting for the slippers to felt I finally finished the monkey socks I started months ago.
I really like the yarn, it’s 100% wool they are so soft and warm. Please excuse the quality of the pics.
Details monkey socks
pattern: cookie a, knitty
yarn: collinette jitterbug, toscana 1 skein
needles: 2.5mm bamboo dpns
And last but not least I finished the Petunia Tote form IK Spring 07
I really hated the yarn but I love the bag after I washed it
I lined it with a light yellow cotton fabric and reinforced the bottom with a plate of (bought) felt instead of a piece of cardboard so I can wash the whole thing.

Oh, was für eine schöne Tasche! So schön grün
Und die Slippers finde ich auch stark! Hier unten im Süden wäre es allerdings etwas zu heiß im Moment, wir haben heute wieder mal einen superschönen Sonnentag.
Liebe Grüße
Andrea
